Diamond-coated friction shims

High performance thanks to a high coefficient of friction.

Diamond-coated friction shims significantly increase the friction coefficient between two surfaces up to a coefficient of 0.9, depending on the average diamond particle size, by creating a mechanical micro-interlock through diamond particles embedded in a chemical nickel coating.

With a contact pressure of 50 MPa, they ensure safe and reliable torque transmission, even under high dynamic loads.

Advantages:

  • Transmission of higher torques.
  • Elimination of slipping risks between components.
  • Increased safety and reliability.
  • Optimisation of assembly design.
  • Simple assembly, without modifying components.

Applications:

  • Gears
  • Crankshaft pulleys
  • Couplings
  • Mechanical flanges
  • Industrial machinery

Materials:

  • Steel or stainless steel substrate
  • Available as sheets or custom pre-cut
  • Depending on intended usage and client specifications
